Incoming Freeze Alert 🚨

Due to numerous calls today regarding the freeze I figured it was best to make a video. This property where we are revamping the whole system due to new landscaping happens to have most of the common parts to look for

Most of our customers are on city water where the system should have a proper backflow device to worry about

Customers on Reclaimed Water may have a potable backflow (depends on water provider) but will have a Reclaimed Water Meter and a Potable water meter

Customers with irrigation wells may have a backflow to cover. If you have pressure tanks and other equipment it’s recommended to cover

Lastly Turn off your Sprinkler Clocks. Your yard is not a citrus grove. Do not run water overnight

Cover all Tropicals and Sensitive Plants

Incoming Freeze Alert 🚨
Some of the coldest weather Central Florida has seen is here. Conditions are expected to deteriorate throughout the week. With temperatures dancing around the freezing mark until Friday. Then twenties Saturday - Monday

It is important to take the following precautions until Tuesday

- Cover your pumps & backflows with heavy towels. Just a reminder these devices aren’t cheap & freeze damage is not covered under any warranties
- Cover Sensitive plants such as flowers and tropicals with frost cloth. Plastic coverings are not recommended. Any questions please consult your landscaper
- Turn off Sprinklers so no watering occurs over night. If watering is needed, run sprinklers once the sun is up and conclude watering before 2pm so there is time for it to dry up.
- Some lawns have already sustained damage from previous frosts. It is recommended that any trimming and mowing is completed once it warms back up

Due to Temperatures being approx 35 degrees tonight, Please turn off all irrigation and protect sensitive plants such as tropicals

Customers with irrigation managed by Hydrawise you shouldn’t have to mess with programming as if should automatically be shut off

Failure to do so may result in damages to landscape material
