"The future of architecture, engineering, and construction is sitting in today's high school classrooms."
— Adrienne Craddock, Architectural Designer, Rhodes+Brito Architects Inc.
UF CityLab recently hosted a career panel discussion, sponsored by RHODES+BRITO ARCHITECTS INC, for high school students from Lyman and Lake Mary High Schools in Seminole County.
Students heard directly from practicing professionals about how they got their start, the challenges they faced along the way, and what it really takes to design the places where we live, learn, and work.
These candid conversations help students picture a path forward and see that a career in architecture is within reach. The heartfelt thank-you notes from the Lake Mary High School juniors and seniors who took part show the impact of real mentorship and why sharing our experiences matters.
At Rhodes+Brito Architects, we believe designing the future starts long before the first sketch. It begins with opening doors, answering questions, and inspiring the next generation of designers who will shape tomorrow's built environment. Thank you to everyone who helped make this event a success. We can't wait to see what these future architects and engineers create.
