The planning area has been submitted to the City of Oroville for annexation. The approved Specific Plan is consistent with the guiding principles of the City of Oroville’s General Plan 2030. The planning area does NOT contain prime farmland, unique farmland, or farmland of state-wide significance. The Specific Plan preserves 158 acres of grazing land east of Highway 70. The plan preserves approximately 50 % of the site as undeveloped land including approximately:
- 30 acres of park land
- 130 acres of existing mature oak trees, wetlands & associated setbacks west of Highway 70
- An additional 150 acres of open space east of Highway 70, maintained under an agricultural use to allow livestock grazing.
