Long time no post, friends!
It’s been a crazy busy couple of years for us thanks to you guys ❤️, but we wanted to put a bit of information out there for all our customers and friends thinking about installing a new HVAC system.
There’s some big changes in equipment and refrigerant that will be rolling out next year. We’ve never been a “high pressure salesman” type of company, as our main goal has always been to provide honest, cost friendly maintenance and repairs whenever possible, and system replacements if needed when the repair costs outweigh the benefits of replacing.
Unfortunately, costs are going up with the refrigerant and equipment changes set to come out in 2025. No definite numbers yet, but we’re guessing at least 10-20% over 2024 costs.
On top of that, Ameren Missouri is no longer going to be able to offer their HVAC rebate program starting January 2025.
Between the increase in equipment costs and the loss of the rebate program currently available for 2024 installations through Ameren, it’s going to be a much larger investment to replace.
Long story short, if your current system has had a good long life, and you’re on the fence on whether to replace or wait until it goes out, it might cost a pretty penny more to do so in the upcoming years.
