This corner was apparently trying to become a forest. šŸŒ³šŸ˜‚

A few hours later:
āœ… Trees gone
āœ… Brush gone
āœ… Seed down
āœ… Straw down

Sometimes landscaping isn’t about adding things… it’s about removing 10 years of ā€œwe’ll deal with it later.ā€

Today’s lesson from the lawn crew: hills are hard. šŸ˜‚

If you’re looking for perfect… we are definitely not it.
If you’re looking for a company that works hard, has fun, and occasionally gives you something harmless to laugh at… we’ll probably succeed at that.

Good news is — grass grows back. 🌱🤣

ā€œPanty Dropperā€ has officially entered semi-retirement. šŸ«”šŸ˜‚

For the last 5 years this 26 year old truck has been part of the fleet and somehow became legendary around here. Known by every current and former employee as ā€œPanty Dropperā€ — a name I believe Noah gets credit for when he first started.

Also known by me as ā€œthe nicest truck in the fleet.ā€ šŸ˜‚

The A/C never worked.
The radio never worked.
The gas gauge never worked.
The seat looked like it lost a fight with a grizzly bear.
The windows go down but may not come back up.

But somehow this thing ALWAYS got the job done and ALWAYS made us money.

To be fair, in 5 years it never actually dropped any panties. But it did haul mulch, dirt, trailers, mowers, brush, and enough overweight loads to probably concern the DOT.

Truth is, when you start a business you buy what you can afford and make it work.

We are upgrading the fleet, so she may be moving on to a new owner. But if she doesn’t sell, she’ll still get called out of retirement once in a while. Trucks like this never fully die around here it seems. šŸ»

Anyone that knows me knows I put 5–10,000 miles on the bike every year. šŸļø

This weekend’s ride took me down to the John Deere Museum for a little ā€œR&D.ā€ Figured after buying enough equipment from Riesterer & Schnell to personally fund at least one coffee machine in the break room, they probably should’ve sponsored this trip. 🤣

Good news is I made it through the museum and only bought a couple key chains & stickers! That’s called growth. 🌾🟢

After 5 years of handwriting 40+ invoice envelopes every month… we finally joined the future šŸ˜‚

Most customers are emailed invoices nowadays, but we still have around 40 every month that don’t use email.

Park N Print Oshkosh has printed our envelopes for years… but somehow I never thought to order window envelopes šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø

Now we can fold the invoice, peel & seal šŸ’…, throw on a stamp and move on with life.

It’s the little things!

Day 47 of rain.

Runs okay. Looks… experienced.

Currently for sale on marketplace if anyone is interested….

2005 Chevy Silverado 1500 – She ain’t pretty, but she shows up

She’s definitely got issues... but don’t we all?

The bad (because we’re being honest here):

Burns oil like it’s part of the job
Smokes on startup sometimes… keeps the mosquitoes away
ABS comes on when braking (adds a little excitement)
Tires aren’t winning any awards
Driver door has a dent (not my fault… allegedly)
Rust? I call that character, has plenty.
One fuel tank strap broke… currently rocking a ratchet strap (holding strong šŸ’Ŗ)
Decided to start leaking some fuel from the tank when running..

The good (this is what matters):

5.3L V8 runs good
4x4 works great
Heat will cook you out, AC blows cold
Power windows work (luxury, baby)
Starts, runs, drives — most times

Real talk:
This isn’t your highway princess. But if you need a farm truck, work be**er, plow truck, or something to beat around town without caring… this thing will get it done.

Bring cash, bring a sense of humor & maybe a quart of oil.

Honestly… I’d pass too. But someone’s gonna buy it šŸ˜‚

Oh good… more rain. That’s exactly what nobody asked for.
We’ve got work to do—whenever you’re done….
