DEWALT DW735X 13” Thickness Planer - For Sale
Selling my DEWALT DW735X thickness planer. These are approximately $750–$800 new, depending on the current retailer and sale pricing. The DW735X is a great machine with a 13” capacity, three-knife cutter head, two feed speeds, and the included infeed/outfeed tables.
I believe the planer likely needs a new motor or motor-related repair. The motor has started bogging down, making a grinding sound, and producing more sparking than normal. I replaced the brushes and installed new blades on 07/21/26, but I upgraded to a larger machine rather than spending additional time diagnosing or repairing this one.
Replacement motor/repair costs appear to be in the roughly $250–$350 range, depending on the exact part needed and whether the work is completed yourself or by a repair shop. The buyer should inspect the machine and determine the exact repair needed.
Aside from the motor issue, this has been a really good machine with approximately four years of use. It produces very little snipe, has user-friendly and quick blade changes, and is a great planer. It is a 120V, 15-amp, single-phase machine.
Selling as-is and priced accordingly. I’m open to reasonable offers.
