Another big one officially wrapped up!

This was definitely not your typical exterior repaint!

We’ve worked for these homeowners for decades, both inside and outside their home. The majority of the exterior had a Venetian plaster finish that had never been painted over before, and within the past five years a marine-grade clear coating had been applied over it.

We quickly found out that a normal acrylic primer was NOT going to adhere, so this one took some testing before we figured out exactly what was going to work. We ended up using an oil-based bonding primer followed by two full coats of exterior finish paint.

We painted all of the exterior wall surfaces, soffits, ceilings, and window and door frames, while keeping the faux finish on the garage that we had an artist paint for them years ago to match the original Venetian plaster look.

And with a house this size, access was definitely a challenge! Not everything could be reached with our lift, so there were areas our guys had to tackle from a 40-foot ladder.

This one took A LOT, but we couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. So proud of our crew and incredibly grateful for longtime clients like these who continue to trust B&B with their home year after year. ❤️

A fresh new look for a downtown Sarasota landmark.

We recently completed the exterior repaint of this historic building just off Lemon Ave, giving it a fresh new look while preserving its character.

The beauty of natural wood is in the details.

For this project, we hand stained the exterior wood soffits and ceilings using Sansin SDF, followed by a Sansin clear coat to enhance the wood’s natural beauty while helping protect it from Florida’s intense sun, moisture, and coastal conditions.

Every board was carefully finished by hand because lasting results begin with quality craftsmanship, premium products, and attention to every detail.

Thoughtful design is all about the details.

For this custom home, we finished the cabinetry, walls, and ceiling in one seamless blush tone, creating a clean, cohesive space from every angle.

Sometimes the most memorable rooms aren’t the largest. They’re the ones where every detail works together.

What most people see is the finished railing.

What they don’t see is the preparation, protection, access challenges, and specialty coating system required to make a project like this last in a coastal environment.

A lot goes into getting it right, but the finished result is worth it.

A look behind the scenes at one of our current Casey Key projects — a stunning modern waterfront residence designed by Guy Peterson.

This phase included restoring the architectural Sipo Mahogany siding and refreshing sections of the white stucco exterior. Years of sun, salt air, and weather exposure had taken their toll on the wood, and it’s rewarding to see the richness and warmth brought back to life.

The project is still underway, with additional stucco work, railing refinishing, and interior painting still to come.
