Monday November 4th is the official start of "Text me when you need me" season. Those of you that keep me on a regular schedule and those who allow me to mow at my discretion throughout the winter are not affected. Thanks for a great 2024 growing season! I'm VERY ready to slow down!

Today felt good. I had beautiful weather to work in, great music in my ears, and wonderful conversations with the folks for whom I mow. I took about 8hrs to do what could have been done in 5hrs but it doesn't matter. Today felt good.

One more day left in August. This month is the most brutal on me physically and on my equipment. Not because it's hotter, or because there's more work to do...but because I and my machines have been keeping this pace for a few months now. We're pushing our limits with little time between working to do anything but rest. One more day left in August.

I'm looking forward to winding down. Some years, September is just August 2.0, in others...it begins the decline of temperatures, daylight, rainy days, the growth of grass, and how much I work. Although I'm ready for another month or two of mowing at the pace of summer...I'm looking forward to winding down.

I am grateful to all of you.

I often listen to standup comedy in my headphones while servicing properties. I just wondered to myself what I must look like to a customer while sitting on my mower laughing maniacally covered in sweat, dirt, and grass clippings in 95° heat 🤣

This lubber traveled on the hood of my truck from about Winter Park Dr and Seminola Blvd in Casselberry to Airport Blvd and Sanford Ave in Sanford. It just repeatedly and casually stretched it's legs until it succumbed to wind. 🤣

The shrub is an azalea on the left, loropetalum on the right, and viburnum in the back...all pruned together. All three are starting to really grow into each other at the seams. It looks really cool in person. The ground cover is Tradescantia zebrina...a.k.a. "wandering jew" (a name that seems to be falling out of favor)
