There have been so many unexpectedly rewarding moments in this flower journey, but one of my very favorites happened last week.

When Vicki and Jonathon stopped by to pick up the flowers for their wedding, we ended up spending much of the evening together creating her bouquet and his boutonniere. Jonathon chose each flower for Vickiā€™s bouquet, and Vicki chose the flowers for his boutonniere.

Watching them thoughtfully pick out each bloom for one another was so sweet and meaningful, and I feel incredibly lucky that I got to be a small part of it.
There was something really beautiful about creating these pieces together. It reminded me that flowers can be so much more than something beautiful to look atā€”they can become part of the memories and meaning of a day.

Iā€™m so grateful for moments like this, and for the reminder that some of the most memorable parts of this little flower journey are the things I never could have planned.

My sweet friend and co-teacher, Christie, asked me to make a bouquet for her daughterā€™s senior pictures, and I was so honored to be asked. What a special milestone to get to be a tiny part of!

And then Emily, another amazing SMS teacher (and incredibly talented photographer!), worked her magic behind the camera.

Thank you, Christie, for trusting me with such a special bouquet, and Emily for capturing it ā€” and her ā€” so beautifully. I just love seeing flowers from the garden become part of these little moments in peopleā€™s lives.
