This old strip oak floor had a bit of an identity crisis... some boards were painted 🎨, others were stained a color of a time long ago.🤷‍♂️.

Our mission? Strip it all back, blend everything together, and custom stain it to match the existing hardwood in the rest of the home. The result? One beautiful, seamless floor that looks like it was always meant to be there.

It's amazing what a little hard work (and a lot of sanding!) can do. Another old floor gets a second chance instead of ending up in the landfill.

There was a hidden treasure waiting under carpet... and the new homeowner was brave enough to let it see daylight again! 🏡✨

After years of being covered up and neglected, this beautiful oak hardwood got a second chance. Not every stain could be erased—after all, a floor this old has earned a few stories—but what a transformation! Those little imperfections are now part of its character, not something to hide.

We finished it with an oil-based finish that really brought the natural oak grain to life, giving it the warm glow it deserved. 🌳

There are plenty of ways to keep the grandkids on their toes... splinters shouldn't be one of them. 😅

This homeowner called us because their old wood floors had seen better days—and unfortunately, they were starting to leave souvenirs in the little ones' feet. So out with the old, in with the new!

We were recently contacted by a local business owner that is about to open a new office(we’ll wait for her to make the big announcement📣).

She was looking for something to warm up her space but the existing commercial carpet and tile from decades ago wasn’t cutting it.

After the tired floor coverings were removed, we found some concrete that was in need of some love. Self leveler to the rescue! We discussed flooring options with the client and decided that Luxury Vinyl Plank was the winner!🏆

Another carpet has officially been evicted... and we don't think it'll be missed. 👋😂

This customer traded in their bedroom and walk-in closet carpet for beautiful engineered hardwood, and what a difference it made! About 250 square feet installed, and we were in and out in just one day.

The carpet put up a good fight, but hardwood won by a landslide. 🪵💪

The best part? This is only round one. We'll be back in a few weeks to tackle the spare bedroom so the rest of the house can join the hardwood club too.

🇺🇸 Happy 4th of July from Correct Hardwood! 🇺🇸

Just like America, this home was built to last... but after a few decades, it needed a little reinforcement. 🇺🇸💪

We gave this home a fresh start by replacing weak subfloor areas before installing nearly 1,000 square feet of gorgeous natural Red Oak. The result? A floor that's as solid as our love for backyard BBQs, fireworks, and freedom.

Around here, we believe great hardwood floors—just like this country—are built on a strong foundation.

What do you do when a customer calls because they have a broken board in their hardwood floor?

You explain that individual boards can often be cut out and replaced.

But what do you do when you discover the floor is over 100 years old and the wood is no longer available?

You pull out your inner Robin Hood and borrow a few boards from the back closet.

After carefully removing the damaged boards, we took the borrowed boards and laced them in to the existing floor to make the damage disappear.

Then we custom stained replacement pieces to match the existing floor as closely as possible. Because the new finish is fresh, it stands out a little today, but over the next few months the polyurethane will naturally amber and blend in, creating a near-perfect match.

Sometimes the best repairs aren't about replacing an entire floor — they're about preserving the character and history that's already there.

🏫✨ From One-Room Schoolhouse to amazingly awesome BnB ✨🏫

This project was a special one. Originally built as a red brick schoolhouse 124 years ago, this historic building is now being transformed into a beautiful home.

We thought of all the children who forged their future in this building, and how the owner wanted to preserve as many of the memories as possible. By keeping the original flooring they would have played on, sat on (criss-cross applesauce), and learned on.

The original maple flooring had accumulated over a century of wear, discoloration, and staining. After a complete sanding and refinishing, we were able to remove the majority of the staining and bring the natural beauty of the wood back to life. While a few deeper stains remain, they serve as a reminder of the building's rich history and character.

We finished the floors with a matte water-based finish, providing long-lasting protection while maintaining the natural look of the maple.

There's something rewarding about preserving a piece of local history while giving it new life for the next generation.
