Small business support is so important and we appreciate our customers who support us!
Many small business owners not only manage their business, they also work IN their business. Pictured here is the owner and founder of Heritage Floors, Mark Niese.
If you know Mark you probably know a little history about Heritage Floors. If not, follow along for some insider information and a little Ottawa history…
In 1987 he started his flooring business out of the same garage his parents had once owned and operated a fish/pet store in New Cleveland, OH. By 1994 he was operating both residential and commercial work out of his current Ottawa location in industrial park AND traveling as far as New Orleans and Iowa State.
There have been some big jobs over the years including NBA courts such as the Phoenix Suns, Cleveland Cavs, Chicago Bulls, New York Knicks, Miami Heat, Indiana Pacers, Charlotte Hornets, Orlando Magic, & many more.
Plus many college courts including
Pen State, Notre Dame, U of Dayton, Boston College, U of Kentucky, U of Cincinnati, Indiana State, Iowa State, the BIG 10 tournament courts and many MANY more!
ADDITIONALLY… the 1996 Olympic courts in Atlanta, The National Basketball Hall of Fame court, AND courts for the movies “Forget Paris”, “Like Mike”, & “Eddie”.
Heritage Floors also worked residential floors for Johnny Bench, Tom Cousineau, AND traveled to Michael Jordan’s home to install the center circle of the old bulls court in his trophy room.
Let’s not forget to mention out of the country work … floors from Chili, floors from Mexico, Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia Canada, University of Taiwan, and a racket ball court for a guy in Saudi Arabia … all portable floors shipped to his Ottawa, OH shop.
And too many local schools, businesses, and residential jobs to name.
These were big jobs, and included several hardworking employees over the years. But behind it all is one hard working, passion driven, family dedicated, selfless, humble business man. And as you can see he’s still working his craft and getting jobs done!!
Support local businesses whenever you can, their owners tend to work REALLY hard for their customers and their families!!
