This project is dear to our hearts; not only was it an outstanding swimming pool & outdoor living design opportunity yet we were surrounded by an incredible design & contractor team as well as the most down-to-earth fun loving clients! In the end the project was awarded as a DesignKC winner this last year. This project has definitely set the bar for others to come. Onto 2025!

We are proud to have been involved with this custom residential project. A recent DesignKC award winner. The large format black marble porcelain tile was utilized on the perimeter-overflow spa; not only a stunning aesthetic yet as a contrast to the white marble pool deck . The acrylic panel provides an extension of the sunken seating area to blend seamlessly with the pool environment. Builder: Helm Construction, Pool Builder: Stonehenge Outdoor.

As a landscape architect finding the right design approach that allows for a seamless integration of the project features so that the end result looks like it was implemented day one of construction is imperative to a successful design.  Lorax worked on a landscape design for this home 8-years ago then transitioned in the pool design 6-years later.  Today the project feels complete.  Great job to those that contributed to its success along the way!         -of-a-kind

Sound design decisions are always made in concert with our clients early in the process by providing a hand-drawn personalized Master Plan that delineates a layout for initial HOA approval, cost estimating and possible phasing discussions. The Master Plan sets the stage for a design methodology that everyone has agreed to prior to transitioning to computerized technical drawings for construction. A ‘prescribed process’ that has not wavered in 15-years of doing business with our client base.         -of-a-kind
