A little before and after on this rainy Friday. The original pergola was going on 20 years old. Sagging in several areas, rotted out and falling apart. The new pergola and cover turned out amazing!

Thinking about upgrading your outdoor space but stuck between a paver patio and stamped concrete? Here’s a quick breakdown to help you decide 👇

🔹 PAVER PATIOS

✅ Short-Term Pros:
• Beautiful, high-end look right away
• Easy to customize (colors, patterns, layouts)
• Individual pieces can be replaced if damaged

❌ Short-Term Cons:
• Higher upfront cost
• Installation takes longer

✅ Long-Term Pros:
• Extremely durable and flexible (handles ground movement well)
• Repairs are simple—just replace a few pavers, not the whole patio
• Maintains appearance over time

❌ Long-Term Cons:
• Can develop weeds or shifting if not properly maintained
• Occasional re-leveling may be needed

⸻

🔹 STAMPED CONCRETE

✅ Short-Term Pros:
• More affordable upfront
• Faster installation
• Clean, decorative look that mimics stone or brick

❌ Short-Term Cons:
• Limited flexibility in design once installed
• Can be slippery when wet without proper finish

✅ Long-Term Pros:
• Low maintenance surface
• No weeds or shifting like pavers

❌ Long-Term Cons:
• Prone to cracking over time
• Repairs are difficult and often noticeable
• May need resealing every few years to maintain color and durability

⸻

💡 Bottom Line:
• Want long-term durability and easy repairs? Go with pavers.
• Want lower upfront cost and quicker install? Stamped concrete might be the way to go.

Still not sure which is right for your space? Send us a message—we’d be happy to help you decide!
