Finally getting around to posting an adventure we went on a few weeks ago. After finishing a wedding venue tour in Lake Wales, JP and I finally crossed frolicking Bok Tower Gardens off our bucket list.
The gardens were absolutely stunning and the paths sprawled all throughout the property. To see every inch of it I would highly recommended any plant/ nature lovers to block off a whole day (5-7hrs) to wander all the different sections and truly take some time to smell the roses.
While there are plenty of beautiful plants to awe over I think the main appeal of this botanical garden is its strolling paths and beautiful architecture. The tower itself is breathtaking in person. There are so many small details on and around it that make it so worth seeing in person.
I think the only thing we would do different in the future would be to have planned a slower day. In a rush to see it all, I kinda feel like I missed out on the true appeal and that’s to find a shaded spot and take in the beauty all around. I want to go back and have a picnic and live paint.
For my birthday JP gifted us a membership to the American Horticultural Society American Horticultural Society | American Gardener Magazine . It grants us access to hundreds of Botanical Gardens across North America, including Bok Tower Gardens. I definitely plan on going back and taking it in the way it was mean to be, slowly and with patience. (Also when it’s not 95° out 🙃)
I would love to hear about anyone else experience here or about any of your other favorite botanical gardens and recommendations. While I know we won’t be able to see it all in this year I definitely want to see everything Florida has to offer….
