We often receive requests for boat materials. Mostly because when rehabing boats you need tight grain wood that is unavailable today through fresh cut timber. Older trees which were cut to make the mills and buildings around new england where 100s of years old. Nowadays, those trees that remain are protected. Otherwise, the trees available for cutting are very young and mostly farmed.
