We have an unusual occurrence at MCRPools/Oxford. Even though we have several pools lined up after the first of the year, the one we were supposed to start last week is having variance issues so it will be delayed maybe 4-6 more weeks to go thru the process. I have spoken with others in line about moving up but for various reasons, none are able too.
We build one pool at a time, custom gunite only. If you are interested in having a pool completed by Thanksgiving or early December, pending weather and the difficulty of your pool, in or around the Oxford area, please give me a call asap. This is very rare for us over the past 22 years, usually a 6 month or longer wait list.

Here’s an unusual beauty!

Freeze issues on customers pools.
We have, at a minimum, been by everyone who has let us know of issues. If it’s something as simple as repairing pipes, it’s most likely been done. With most, it becomes a process of eliminating piece by piece such as:
Repair pipes, cut pump on and it’s leaking. Figure out what parts are needed, order them, get them, put them on then start the pump again. Now we can cut the heater or other accessories on and they are leaking. The process begins again on that piece of equipment.
Saying this, it’s not a quick fix at most places. We are doing our best as quickly as possible but as we all know, this ice storm and power being out for days and over a week in some cases has caused many issues.
Please bare with us as we are managing the best we can. We are not gouging anyone! Our prices are the same to our customers as if just one of you had a pump issue. I’m hearing horror stories about what some are charging. If any of you have issues in any way, please reach out to me or Landon.
As always, thank you for putting your trust in us.

Pool owners, prevention prevention prevention.
If you live in areas where this storm is to hit, take note.
At the least, cut all your pumps on and open water feature pipes to run.

If power goes out, Best to winterize and that’s done by pulling the plugs from underneath the belly of each pump. One plug on each side. Your filter will need to be drained. There’s a 21/2”-3” plug at the bottom of the belly. Will need channel locks to unscrew. Put your filter on close and let the water run out, you should not lose any sand.
If you have a heater and plan Not To Use It, heavy blanket and/or tarp over it will help to insulate it.

Good luck to all and please stay safe!
