October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and for Purple Thursday the Buford Contracting team showed up in purple to stand with survivors here in western Kentucky.

We spend our days building homes, and we believe everyone deserves a home where they feel safe. For many of our neighbors, that's not a given. That's why we're proud to support merrymanhouse , which offers free, confidential help to people affected by intimate partner violence across the Purchase Region.

One easy way to help: adopt a duck in the PaDucky Derby! 🦆 The 12th annual race is Saturday, October 24 at 3 p.m. at Noble Park, and every duck you adopt supports Merryman House. You don't have to be there to win.

Buford Contracting proud to be a Raceway sponsor for the PaDucky Derby.

If you or someone you love needs help, you're not alone. Call the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233, or reach out to Merryman House directly.

When you're building something new, you deserve a team that keeps you in the loop; not just at the finish line, but every step of the way. At Buford Contracting, we believe the best builds start with clear communication, honest timelines, and a crew that actually picks up the phone.
We're honored to be nominated for Best Building Contractor in the 2026 The Paducah Sun Readers' Choice and we'd love your vote. You can vote once a day through May 26. Thank you for your support!

We don’t start a project until the space is protected. ✅
Air filtration + floor protection = less dust, less mess, less stress. 😅

Proud to support Merryman House during Kentucky’s Shop & Share! 🛒💙

Our team hit the stores with donation carts of our own, and we also provided a trailer to haul everything back to the shelter so it can be sorted and distributed to those who need it most.

If you’re shopping today at Kroger, consider grabbing a little extra for a local shelter—small things make a big impact.

Storm Fern threw a lot at our community and we’re thankful you trusted Buford Contracting to help you through it.

We’re finishing up our last Storm Fern recovery projects & snow cleaning and returning to our regular schedule.

From the bottom of our hearts: thank you for your patience, support, and referrals.

Cold weather doesn’t usually “kind of” damage a house, it either does… or you’re prepared.
Save this and knock these out before the first freeze:

✅ Disconnect hoses + insulate non–frost-proof spigots
✅ Close crawlspace vents
✅ Exterior-wall plumbing: slow drip hot + cold (1 drip every 1–2 sec)
✅ Know how to turn on aux heat
✅ Find your main water shutoff (and make sure it turns)

Save/share with a homeowner friend.
