Getting a home ready for listing photos takes more than a quick rinse.
For this project, I used a padded ladder standoff for safer access and to keep the ladder rails off the gutters. I trimmed small overhanging branches that were rubbing against the roof and trapping moisture, then cleared debris from the roof and gutters.
Next, I soft washed the roof and chimney using low pressure to treat algae and moss without blasting the shingles. I also pre-wet and thoroughly rinsed the surrounding plants, then used a neutralizer to help protect the landscaping and nearby surfaces from the cleaning solution.
The result: a cleaner, better-maintained exterior that was ready for the listing photoshoot.
