Time to Fall into action!! Have you Dethatched your lawn this year? You would be so surprised at how much thatch is underneath your lawn! Thatch is a mix of dead and living plant material that forms at the base of grass, plants and anywhere that stems meet roots in soil, some organic matter such a small grass clippings, mulch and leaves break down quickly on healthy lawns but other materials take much longer to decompose . A thin layer about under 1/2 inch is beneficial to your Lawns Health. It acts as an organic mulch to help conserve soil moisture and protect against big fluctuations in soil temperature . Too much Thatch on the lawn blocks the drainage of water from the top of the grass all the way down to the roots. On a healthy lawn water only remains above ground for a short amount of time, if there is too much thatch present it remains above the soil for a longer period of time and over saturates your lawn, thatching will help effectively drain while nurturing your lawns growth.

With a buildup of thatch your roots will never be healthy, without healthy roots you wont have a full, thick and green yard how it should be!

Dethatching helps to circulate air deep down into the roots of your grass and provides the necessary carbon dioxide, it stimulates the existing Roots as well as encouraging new roots to grow. We are early in the season and still at good temperature to get your lawn looking thick luscious and Green we also offer fertilizing and seeding after or in the near future when your lawn has been Dethatched!
