General Contractor founded and based in Florida since 1972. We are dedicated to providing on time performance within budgetary constraints.

David Nelson Construction successfully performs both building construction and heavy/civil construction through a variety of delivery methods from design build and construction management to fixed price, for both public and private owners. This diversity has allowed us to be the Prime Contractor on just about everything from Airports to Zoos (A to Z). Our building construction projects range from

interior renovations for select clients to convention centers, toll collection facilities, sewer and water treatment plants, new commercial mid-rise buildings, large playground/sports complex facilities and even a Zoological Garden for the City of Tampa. Our heavy/civil construction projects range from site development projects for general contractors and private owners to decorative streetscapes, airports, roadway and utility projects for local governments as well as major road and interstate projects for F.D.O.T.

Meet Miss Charlie! (Senior Project Manager at our Epicurean Hotel Expansion Project)
A day in the life of Charlie consists of very important tasks that includes the following:
-Making sure she goes around the office to each person to say "Good Morning." ❤️
-Takes a very early morning nap right under her mom's desk.
-Wakes up to see what everyone is having for lunch (a girls gotta know) 🍔
-Takes a nap after she get a few nibbles of some of our PE's & PM's lunch. 🍟 (this nap is the longest)
-Wakes up to see what progress has been made on the jobsite under her strict supervision.
-Goes home to take a nice bath after a long day of hard work. 🛁

How cool is this!? A couple of DNCC's projects were featured in two magazines!

Southern Lady Magazine featured the Fenway Hotel. & Southern Living Magazine, (articles written by Katie Strasberg Rousso) mentioned "The Living Room" as well as "Sonder Social Club".

One advantage that David Nelson Construction brings for Heavy Highway / Civil Construction is we self-perform our own utility work as well as most other activities while most large Prime Contractor’s will subcontract this work out. As such, we have a unique perspective and ability to facilitate any changes in scope of work quickly and effectively.
