What makes someone ride from Key West to Deadhorse, Alaska... and all the way back?
It wasn't about setting a record. It was about proving that limits are often farther away than we think.
After planning this journey for a year and a half, our own David (a man in his 60's) set out to push himself physically and mentally. Along the way, he battled Florida heat, Yukon and Alaska cold, relentless mosquitoes, rain, rough roads, a flat tire, and three crashes on the Dalton Highway. He finished the ride with bruised ribs, a bruised hip, scraped knees and elbows, facial injuries, and a broken helmet visor. Yet with eight more 12 to 14-hour days still ahead, he kept telling himself, "Just one more mile."
The reward wasn't just reaching Alaska. It was experiencing breathtaking places that no photo could truly capture and proving that determination, along with the support of family and friends, can carry you farther than you ever imagined.
David also rode to support Tunnel to Towers, helping honor injured U.S. service members by raising awareness for homes that restore independence and dignity. If you'd like to follow his journey or support this incredible cause, visit the link in our bio.
