Spring's approaching fast and now's the time to start making plans to get your lawns ready for the season.

The most important first step for a healthy lawn is to know the pH of your soil. You should have a soil sample done every 2-3 years. Soil samples give you an idea of what minerals are needed for your lawn and how much. Give us a call and schedule us to get a soil sample for you and send it off for testing.
If you're doing this yourself, it's important to get plenty of soil for your sample and make sure it comes from all areas of your lawn. You should have enough to fill one quart size ziploc bag. Get plugs of at least the first 2 inches of soil and mix all the samples together in one ziploc bag. Take your sample to your local Extension Office for testing.
