PART 3

PUMP STATION & WATER PRESSURE

Before water reaches homes and businesses, it has to be pressurized and kept moving through the system.

At pump stations, treated water is pushed through underground pipelines using high-capacity pumps and elevated water tanks to maintain steady pressure across the entire water system.

These systems help ensure reliable water flow for homes, schools, businesses, and emergency services across West Texas.

Curtis is proud to help support the infrastructure behind it all, from pump stations and underground piping to the maintenance that keeps water moving every day.

PART 2: Treatment Plant & Water Quality πŸ’§

Before water reaches your home, it has to be cleaned, disinfected, and tested.

At the treatment plant, groundwater goes through a carefully monitored process designed to make sure the water delivered to your tap is safe, reliable, and meets state and federal drinking water standards.

After groundwater is pulled from rural water wells, it travels through underground pipelines to a municipal treatment plant where it’s filtered, disinfected, and tested to meet safe drinking water standards.

These facilities operate around the clock to provide clean, dependable water for homes and businesses across West Texas.

Curtis is proud to help support the infrastructure behind it all, from piping systems and pumps to the maintenance that keeps water moving safely every day.

Do you know where your water comes from? West Texas doesn't have the luxury of rivers or lakes β€” our water comes from the ground up. Literally. πŸ’§

The majority of water used across West Texas is groundwater, pulled from deep aquifers that sit hundreds of feet below the surface. Before water ever reaches your tap, it starts with a rural water well, and miles of pipe.

Water Wells are the foundation of water infrastructure in this part of the state β€” Groundwater is Pumped to the Surface and piped many miles to the local Municipal District β€” where treatment and distribution take over from there.

Proud to be part building, the systems that keeps West Texas communities going.

Aging infrastructure doesn't wait β€” and neither should you.

Many water systems across West Texas are 50–75 years old, built with pipe types that aren't common anymore, like AC and Concrete Steel Cylinder Pipe. When isolation is needed, functioning valves are everything.

This winter, our team worked with multiple owners to replace these aging valves on a variety of legacy pipe types. Their forward thinking means they'll be ready when it counts.

Is your system built on uncommon pipe types? Curtis Service Company's pipeline experts are just a phone call away.

A leader is someone who jumps first, not because they know the way, but because they are willing to find it. We are grateful for our strong field leaders who step up and take on new challenges. We want to thank our field leaders for navigating recent winter storms to keep our teams moving forward!
