cationing on the beautiful white sands of Panama City Beach, they decided to sell their business, moved to the emerald coast, and started Daystar Cleaning, Inc. All their children grew up working in the business, and Matthew now manages Restoration Services. Steve and Judy have participated in many business education, management, and certification programs, and believe in empowering their employees with education, customer service training, safety training, and certifications to deliver the kind of exceptional service Daystar clients have come to expect. is a certified firm of the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC), as recommended by nationally syndicated radio personality Clark Howard. Steve Ransom is a state certified Mold Remediator, and holds IICRC certifications including Master Fire Restorer, Water Damage Restoration, Applied Structural Drying, Commercial Drying, Carpet Cleaning, Upholstery Cleaning, and Odor Removal.

Eight more days till our nation's 250th birthday! Here are ways to celebrate locally!
In Bay County, Florida, July 4th, 2026 celebrations feature major events in Lynn Haven and Panama City, with additional festivities in Callaway and Alys Beach.
*Lynn Haven – Freedom by the Bay: This day-long celebration kicks off at 8:45 a.m. with the America: Stars & Stripes Parade along Highway 77. The evening concludes at A.L. Kinsaul Park with live music by The Gr8ful Dads and Jamie O’Neal, followed by a 25-minute fireworks show at 9:00 p.m.
*Panama City – Salute to Freedom Festival: Held from 4:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Panama City Marina, this free event features two stages of live entertainment, including performances by Sons of Saints and Last Left. The festival includes a Family Fun Zone and culminates in a spectacular fireworks display over St. Andrews Bay at 9:00 p.m.
*Callaway – Independence Day Event: A midday family-friendly gathering at Callaway includes a Tyndall AFB Flyover at 10:15 a.m., entertainment by the Don Audette-Rod Stewart Tribute Band, and free food and activities.
*Alys Beach – Donut Eating Contest: A unique tradition featuring a Donut Eating Contest from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for children and adults.

AVOID HAZARDS! Be extremely careful of the deadly combination of water and electricity. Stay away from raw sewage backups, which contain nasty bacteria and can be harmful to your health. Also, be cautious of slippery wet carpets and floors.

REMOVE FURNITURE! Wood furniture can be damaged by wicking, and rust stains from metal furniture run the risk of being permanent. 95% of water damage jobs are restorable by simply removing the furniture that’s anywhere near the water, or by placing something under the legs.
