What a difference some proper grading makes. 👊

This property needed some serious attention around the house. We brought everything back to grade, cleaned up the overgrown areas, corrected the drainage, and left the property smooth and ready for seed.

Grading isn’t just about making a yard look better — it’s about getting water moving away from your home and protecting your property long term.

If you’ve got standing water, drainage issues, rough ground, or a yard that just needs brought back to life, give KC Excavating Co. a call.

Another one wrapped up! 🇺🇸🚜

Glen called us out to his brand-new home to take care of grading around the entire house and get everything shaped up and ready for the next step.

One thing Glen was especially impressed with was our Hydra Bucket and how well it pulverizes those big clumps of topsoil, leaving behind a smooth, workable finish. It’s quickly become one of our favorite tools for finish grading.

Glen also got to be one of the first customers to receive one of our new KC Excavating Thank-you bags! Just a little something extra to show our appreciation to the customers who trust us with their property.

Thank you for the business, Glen! We appreciate you! 🤝

Sometimes you have to start over to build it right. 💪🏼

This foundation had failed multiple times over the years, and even the piers installed to correct the problem eventually failed.

Instead of another temporary fix, this one is getting done right. We’re removing the existing foundation completely and excavating deeper to give the home taller basement ceilings before the new foundation goes in.

When the foundation keeps failing, you don’t keep putting a Band-Aid on it — you fix the problem from the ground up.

Raise the bar. Do it the KC way. 🇺🇸

💧 Water is going somewhere — the question is whether you control where it goes.

A properly built swale or drainage ditch can make the difference between water moving safely across a property and water washing out driveways, holding against foundations, or turning yards into a mess.

These recent projects were all about one thing: giving water a controlled path. From long driveway swales and ditching to tighter residential grading, we shape the ground so drainage works with the property instead of against it.

At KC Excavating Co., we don’t just move dirt. We pay attention to elevation, slope, outlet, and how the property actually drains so the finished product has a purpose.

If you’re dealing with:
• Standing water
• Driveway washouts
• Water around your home or buildings
• Erosion
• Poorly draining yards or acreage

We can help build a solution.

💧 Water getting into your crawl space? The problem may start with your grade.

This homeowner was dealing with water making its way into the crawl space, so we corrected the front yard grade and cut in a swale to give stormwater a clear path away from the home.

✅ Front yard regraded
✅ Drainage swale installed
✅ Water redirected away from the foundation
✅ Yard cleaned up and ready for seed

Proper drainage can make a huge difference in protecting your foundation and crawl space.

If you’re dealing with standing water, drainage issues, or water getting too close to your home, give KC Excavating a call.

Giving Back in Wichita 💪🇺🇸

Over the Weekend, KC Excavating traded the usual jobsite for something a little different. We traveled out of town to Wichita, KS to volunteer our time and equipment for a community project.

Running a business isn’t just about the jobs we get paid to do. It’s also about being willing to step up, put the equipment to work, and help out when there’s an opportunity to make a difference.

We’re grateful to be in a position where KC Excavating can give back and help communities across Kansas.

A little dirt work, a lot of good people, and a day well spent. 💪

That’s the KC Excavating way.
