Not every job requires a bucket truck.

Pole climbing demands physical skill, precise footwork, and complete focus on every move up and down the structure.

Full PPE. Loaded tool belt. No room for shortcuts at height.
The craft behind rural infrastructure work is built one pole at a time.

A TRIR of 0.58 in 2024 is not a talking point — it is the result of consistent field discipline, daily accountability, and a workforce that holds each other to the same standard on every job site.

That number has trended in one direction for four straight years. In this industry, that trajectory is the difference between a contractor utility partners can trust and one they cannot.

ElectriCom and Isbell Construction are proud to be represented at this year’s annual ANMTA Conference.

Events like ANMTA are an important opportunity to connect with the people behind rural broadband, strengthen relationships across the industry, and stay close to the challenges and opportunities facing the communities we serve.

With ElectriCom and Isbell working across a growing footprint, these conversations help us continue building the partnerships that have always been at the heart of how we do business.

If you’re at ANMTA this year, be sure to say hello to our team.

Behind every restored line are people willing to do the work.

Long days. Difficult conditions. Dangerous environments. Time away from home.

Over the past couple of weeks, our crews have been out across Northwest Indiana helping restore power after severe storms caused significant damage throughout the region.

We talk a lot about dependability at ElectriCom. This is what it looks like.

It’s people showing up when communities need them, looking out for one another, working safely and staying on the job until the work is done.

To our crews who have been out there: thank you. We’re proud of the work you do and the way you represent ElectriCom.

What does AI actually look like in utility construction?

In Episode 3 of The Grid Connection, ElectriCom CEO Andy Leake sits down with Head of Strategy and FP&A Matt Breeden to talk about how data, technology and artificial intelligence are changing the way infrastructure projects are managed and delivered.

They discuss how better field data can help teams identify issues earlier, improve project visibility and make smarter decisions — while keeping experienced people at the center of the work.

The conversation also looks at where AI can realistically add value today and how contractors can prepare for what comes next without losing sight of the fundamentals: safety, quality and dependable ex*****on.

Utility infrastructure runs on two things: people in the field and people behind the scenes keeping everything coordinated.

Crews managing pole sets, cable reels, and elevated line work. Operations staff handling communications and logistics. Both sides accountable to the same standard — on time, on spec, and safely executed.

That is how ElectriCom has operated across rural America since 1960.

Creek boring operation underway — HDD equipment and support units staged across rural terrain for an underground water crossing.

Bentonite mixing, bore path coordination, and site management running simultaneously to keep the project on schedule.

Crossings like this require precision. Rural infrastructure doesn't always follow a straight line.

Storm restoration is more than getting trucks and crews to the scene.

It takes coordination, experience and disciplined ex*****on to safely restore damaged infrastructure and get the lights back on.

Over the past couple of weeks, ElectriCom crews have been working throughout Northwest Indiana alongside utilities and other response teams to help restore power following severe storms in the region.

This is what storm response looks like in the field.

Real crews. Real conditions. Important work.
