Tyler began his career in the skilled trades right out of high school. A strong student, he graduated with honors and earned an impressive 32 on his ACT, giving him numerous opportunities to pursue a traditional college path.

Instead, Tyler chose the trades.

He recognized the importance of the skilled trades in building the future of America and saw the opportunities that a career in the electrical industry could provide.

Tyler’s story is a great reminder that the trades aren’t a fallback—they’re a career path filled with opportunity, growth, and the chance to build something that matters.

This week, we’re proud to recognize Savanna Willcockson, who serves as Controller at Edgar Electric and has been a valued member of our team for more than 7 years.

Savanna is a great example of how the skilled trades industry creates opportunities that extend far beyond the field. While apprenticeship programs provide incredible career paths for electricians, our industry also depends on talented professionals in accounting, operations, project management, safety, and many other roles that help keep our projects and company moving forward.

🔦Employee Spotlight: Megan Batte

Edgar Electric is proud to recognize Megan Batte, a second-year apprentice through IBEW Local 1516 and a valued member of the Edgar Electric family.

Megan has done a tremendous job representing both EEi and the IBEW through her hard work, professionalism, and commitment to the trade.

Most recently, Megan helped see our College of Veterinary Medicine project at Arkansas State University through to completion. From the in-ground phase all the way through project completion, Megan was an integral part of the team and gained valuable experience along the way.

We asked Megan:

“What have the IBEW and Edgar Electric meant to you and your family?”

Megan’s response:

The IBEW and EE have meant opportunity, stability, brotherhood/sisterhood and a chance to build something lasting for my family. Being part of this program has shown me that investing in myself and learning a skilled trade can open doors that I may not have thought were possible before. They’ve given me something I can be proud of.

We’re proud of the work Megan has accomplished and look forward to watching her continue to grow throughout her apprenticeship and career.

Edgar Electric is proud to celebrate the completion of the new College of Veterinary Medicine at Arkansas State University.

This project is especially meaningful to our company and our family. Agriculture, ranching, equine, and rodeo are an important part of who we are, and we believe strongly in supporting the people and programs that keep those traditions and industries moving forward.

This new facility represents an investment in the future of veterinary medicine—not only for companion animals, but for the horses, cattle, livestock producers, ranchers, equine athletes, and rodeo communities that are such a growing and important part of Arkansas and rural America.

We’re incredibly proud of the Edgar Electric men and women who helped bring this facility to life. From planning and coordination through installation, testing, and completion, our team demonstrated the craftsmanship, grit, and commitment to excellence that we expect whenever the Edgar Electric name is on a project.

We’re grateful to Arkansas State University, Nabholz Construction, our trade partners, suppliers, and every craftsman and professional who contributed to making this vision a reality.

There’s something pretty special about knowing that the same company whose families spend their mornings, evenings and weekends in barns, arenas, pastures, and rodeos helped build a facility that will educate the veterinarians who will care for those animals for generations to come.

He has the unique ability to wear many hats and wear each one exceptionally well. A graduate who finished near the top of his class, Michael has built a reputation for professionalism, leadership, and craftsmanship throughout his career.

Beyond the jobsite, Michael dedicated many years to shaping the future of our trade as an instructor with the NJATC and the IBEW 1516, investing his time and knowledge into the next generation of skilled electricians.

Tyler has been a valued member of the Edgar Electric team since 2020. After completing his apprenticeship through the JATC in 2025, Tyler passed his Journeyman Wireman exam with flying colors.

Today, Tyler serves on our field management team as a Foreman, where he leads by example with a strong commitment to safety, quality, and productivity. His leadership and dedication have made a lasting impact on our crews and the projects we serve.

We are proud to have Tyler representing both the IBEW and Edgar Electric every day.
