Your floors are only as dependable as the support beneath them. 🏠

At this Torrance, CA home, sagging floors called for a closer look inside the crawl space. Beneath the house, wooden beams and posts formed the existing floor support system. Our Saber crew installed SmartJack steel supports and a supplemental steel beam to reinforce the framing and address the sagging floor concerns.

These photos take you beneath the home—from the existing wooden supports to the completed steel installation. You can see the new SmartJack columns working alongside the existing framing, supporting a steel beam beneath the floor joists.

A beautiful landscaped pathway deserves a little attention underfoot, too! 🌿

This walkway in Spring Valley, CA, had a noticeable crack stretching across the concrete, with an open gap and uneven edges interrupting the walking surface.

Saber Foundation & Concrete Repair helped address the damaged area, and these before-and-after photos show the improvement. With the crack filled, the pathway now has a more continuous surface while keeping the existing concrete and surrounding landscaping in place.

What does a major foundation repair project look like beneath the floor? These photos from Santa Ana, CA, give you a closer look. 🏡

The homeowner contacted Saber Foundation & Concrete Repair about settlement affecting the rear portion of the property. Before photos documented cracks across exterior walls, damage near an interior doorway, and a substantial crack in a lower-level wall.

Addressing the concern required extensive access inside the home. Our team cut openings through the concrete floor, excavated beneath the slab, removed broken concrete and soil, and installed push pier brackets at exposed foundation locations.

The project’s repair plan called for 43 push piers, including 13 interior locations, along with PolyLevel slab support and concrete restoration. The installation photos show the scale of the work, from individual brackets below the floor to multiple excavations within a single room.

Every home has its own construction history and repair needs. For this property, previous alterations were part of the background reviewed when developing the foundation repair plan.

This project involved a diagonal crack running across the exposed concrete floor near an interior doorway. In the before photo, you can follow the crack from the baseboard on the left toward the exposed wall framing on the right.

From exposed earth to an encapsulated crawlspace—take a look beneath this Los Alamitos home! 🏠

Our Saber Foundation & Concrete Repair team completed a crawlspace encapsulation project featuring a white v***r barrier and an AprilAire dehumidifier.

The before photos show bare soil, uncovered masonry, and the existing supports and plumbing beneath the home. The installation photos give you a closer look at the work involved: placing drainage matting, fitting the v***r barrier around support bases, and extending it along the foundation walls.

The finished photos show the ground covered with the new v***r barrier and the dehumidifier in place. The barrier separates the crawlspace from exposed soil, while the dehumidifier helps control airborne moisture beneath the floor framing.

For this San Diego, CA crawl space encapsulation project, Saber Foundation & Concrete Repair transformed a space with exposed soil and deteriorated ground covering into a cleaner, lined crawlspace.

These photos show the details that go into the installation:
