Today we're featuring Desparada 2021 Sackcloth & Ashes. For such heavy varietals, it has a really light touch, a nice structure without going overboard on extraction, and is just super yummy!

They will be in Santa Barbara, Ojai, Ventura and Carpinteria in three weeks, and back to the Peninsula in September. They will also be presenting at the Catch Studio in Paso Robles on September 6th.

Nina is thrilled to have her work showcased at the California 2023 'SAY IT LOUD' exhibition during the AIA Conference on Architecture Expo on June 8th and 9th at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.

This exhibition highlights the contributions of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) and/or women architects, and Nina is honored to have been selected as a participant. If you're attending the conference, the exhibition will be located at booth #2069. Unfortunately, Nina won't be able to attend in person, so it would be greatly appreciated if a fellow AIA member could take a few photos for her.

Hello! We're so grateful for the turnout we had at our last seminar on Accessory Dwelling Units. It was wonderful to connect with members of our community and share useful information about this ADUs. Due to popular demand, we're hosting another free seminar on June 7th at 5 PM at our Vine and 21st office.

Here is what we'll cover:

The current zoning regulations in the state of California, with some focus on the North County of San Luis Obispo

A run-through of the benefits of building an ADU:

- Be more social: House aging family + adult children; host guests

- Live economically: Generate rental income and/or downsize

- Improve your work life: Create a home office or hobby space

- The estimated costs involved

- An ADU Case Study

We'd love to share some photos from our recent team trip to Epoch Estate Wines where Nina's husband, Marcos, is the tasting room manager, and who was kind enough to give us a tour of the incredible winemaking and storage facilities.

We were in awe of the amazing attention to detail in every building from the tasting room, to the astonishing subterranean wine cellar/cave.

The appreciation and respect for the history and natural surroundings at Epoch are wonderful to see and have been beautifully integrated into the thoughtful and purposeful architecture of the entire estate.
