We are aware of a video circulating online from a recent visit to a public park. We understand why people are concerned after seeing a short clip without full context.

Our dog is a valued part of our family, and we do not abuse or neglect him. The situation occurred while trying to manage an overstimulated dog around our young child and other people at the park. Looking back, we understand that our handling of the situation upset people, and we are taking this seriously.

What has followed has included threats toward our family and coordinated attacks on our business pages, including reviews from individuals who have never been customers. We respectfully ask people not to threaten our family or spread false information. It will not be tolerated. You may disagree with the individuals involved in this incident, but there are other owners and employees who are affected as well, and defamation is a serious matter.

We are focused on moving forward responsibly as pet owners and as parents, and we appreciate those who have approached the situation respectfully.

At LeakProof, every roof replacement has a story—and this is one we won’t forget.

I first met this homeowner over three years ago, when he wasn’t quite ready to move forward. We discussed what to watch for down the road, exchanged contact information, and stayed in touch with occasional follow-ups.

A couple of years later, after some significant weather activity, I reached out again and we decided it was time to file a claim. Initially, the claim was denied by his insurance carrier. While he was understandably hesitant to continue, he trusted our experience and allowed us to persist. After several months and multiple communications, we were able to turn a small claim payment into a full roof replacement.

I’m grateful he trusted us throughout the process—this decision ultimately saved him tens of thousands of dollars.

Working with this homeowner was truly a pleasure. He was easy to work with, generously treated our crew to a full BBQ lunch, shared great conversation, and even sent me home with a bread maker for my wife—she was thrilled.

Every roof has a story, and every project is an experience—for both us and the homeowner. If they’re anything like this one in Brandon, I look forward to many more like it.
