Back in June, our owner Michael Atkinson had the pleasure of sitting down for a one-on-one interview with none other than Jim Dutton, host of Texas Home Improvement. But that was just the beginning…

The crew followed up with an on-site visit where they captured Guardian Roof Systems in action, documenting the full install of a brand new Malarkey Roof with a Fortied upgraded system for one of our customers.

Texas Home Improvement has been a trusted name in home renovation television for years, and in tomorrow’s episode, they’re putting the spotlight on — you guessed it — roofing! 🏠✨

The rain let up enough to do our final walk through today on the recent Lupe Tortillas project we completed in Montgomery, TX. Our team did another great job on this one! Pictures to come.

We are hiring immediately for sales reps in the Houston market. Whether you have experience selling roofs or not, we will train you. No door knocking required, this will be running leads. Must have a vehicle with the ability to carry a ladder and be able to physically climb on roofs. During a storm event like this our sales people can clear well over 100k by the end of the year. Guardian Roof Systems is currently open and operational, as of Thursday afternoon our office still does not have power or internet service. All of our staff and technicians are working remotely to serve customers as quickly and efficiently as possible.
During normal business weeks we dispatch out an average of 15-20 calls for inspections, quotes, and repairs. Since cell service resumed this past Tuesday after Beryl we have already received well over 100 calls and emails for damage inspections. We are diligently working to get technicians out to each property to inspect for damages, handle temporary repairs and tarping, and assist homeowners in getting claims filed with their insurance carrier.

Please be sure when calling in to request service you leave a detailed message with your full name, property address, contact information, and brief damage report – such as we have missing shingles, had leaking and water coming in during the storm, storm debris impacted the roof, a tree fell on our house, etc. Rest assured we are getting to every voicemail and following up with the contacts. We can also be reached via text at 713-409-9026 – please include all the same information listed previously.

As a home or property owner, be sure to do your due diligence when selecting a contractor for any storm-related damages. More damage can be caused by doing the work incorrectly and potentially jeopardize claim coverage. Make sure you are verifying insurance and credentials of anyone showing up after a storm claiming to be a “roofer”.

This is an interesting read providing information about this year’s hurricane season forecast. I know the news hypes it up every year saying stock up and be ready and year after year they are wrong. This year I’m actually thinking that we better be ready Houston. What do you think?

I can say that we have seen an abnormal amount of hail storms in the Houston market this year. We’ve seen thunderstorms sweep through the city with straight line winds over 120 mph that knocked power out for days and left homes damaged like a hurricane just swept through.

All and all it has been a very active storm season. Hurricane season just started 2 weeks ago and everyone already has an eye on a storm system developing in the Southern part of the Gulf.

These storms have left homeowners in need of assistance across the city which in turn has kept our team at Guardian Roof Systems very busy. If you’re thinking about making a career change or would like to supplement your income with some great paying part time work, hit me up. Another customer getting a brand new Malarkey Vista Class 4 Impact rated shingle today. Do your research when hiring a roofing contractor. This was a 5 year old roof that was damaged by a hail storm last March. We tore off 3 layers of felt and found almost 7 sheets worth of rotted decking that needs to be replaced. If you don’t remove the existing roof down to the bare decking, these issues will be completely missed and covered up. At Guardian Roof Systems we always tear down to the deck and make sure we are installing a quality system on your home.

We are looking forward to assisting this client with a night club getting remodeled in downtown Houston. We will be installing metal walls panels, flush soffit panels, custom window and facia wrapped with ACM metal, and topped off with commercial grade box gutters.
