An elderly woman was found alone and disoriented in the Los Quindos small square, in a clear state of vulnerability. According to neighbors, she had allegedly been abandoned by her own children, which sparked the community’s anger. “We have an elderly woman lying here… her children took her out of the house, can someone help with an ambulance?”, is heard in the video that went viral. Residents covered her from the cold and called for medical help. On social networks, the case sparked massive demands for tougher laws and real protection for the elderly.
