🚧 ⚠️ Attention Pendleton, Mission, and surrounding area Travelers 🚗 Exit 216 (Wildhorse Exit) TRAFFIC MAY BE SLOWER THAN NORMAL for the next few weeks, here’s why:

Quesenberry Construction, Inc. will be performing construction activities at the Eastbound 216 Exit off ramp near Arrowhead Travel Plaza to improve the inside turning radius for Oversize deliveries of wind turbine components.

The 216 Exit will have traffic control installed to split the off ramp into 2 sections.
• 1 section for regular public freeway traffic
• 1 section for construction traffic and deliveries.

Freeway traffic will be allowed to flow as normal but may include some slower than normal traffic to reduce traveling speeds on the offramp.

🚧CONSTRUCTION WILL BEGIN 09/30/22 and is expected to last 2 weeks. Turbine component deliveries will follow the construction.

⚠️REDUCE YOUR SPEED in these areas and be alert as you pass through the construction zone.
⚠️ DO NOT FOLLOW Construction Vehicles or Trucks! Remain in the public traffic lane.

⚠️ATTENTION⚠️--->Athena OR Residents and Drivers of HWY 11 and HWY 334 (Athena-Helix):

QCI is providing support services for deliveries of Oversize and Overlength loads traveling the previously mentioned routes. We will have flagging teams at the intersection of HWY 11 and HWY 334 (East Main Street, Athena) to temporarily close HWY 11 to allow for the Oversize loads to safely turn off of HWY 11 and onto HWY 334. This closure will only happen when deliveries are present and will be a very short time. HWY 11 will reopen immediately after the loads have exited onto HWY 334 (Main Street Athena).

QCI will also be closing HWY 334 (Athena-Helix) from West Main Street in Athena to Gerking Flat Road while the loads travel this section of highway. This shutdown will only occur while the loads travel this short section of highway as the road is too narrow to pass safely. HWY 334 will be immediately reopened for regular travel after the loads have turned North, onto Gerking Flat Road.

***WE ANTICIPATE MOST CLOSURES TO LAST AROUND 15 MINUTES.

Deliveries will take place during the daytime hours over the next few weeks, starting 9/22/2022.

We are asking for everyone to be patient while the deliveries pass, and we work to keep the closure time to a minimum. Please be respectful of our traffic control teams as they work to keep everyone safe and minimize the impact of your daily travels.

To all Flood Victims of Umatilla County and surrounding areas:

With record flood rates to hit our home town, we understand the devastation and anxiety this has had on countless families. We spent today assessing the damages around the Pendleton area and have seen first hand the heartache and stress this has brought to our community.

Even though the water is still high, if you or someone you know is in need of our services now to further prevent more damage or to rebuild from the flooding, please let us know.

We are available to rebuild roads, driveways, reshape pastures and fields.
