On warm fall afternoons, you might notice bugs gathering on the sunny side of the house: boxelder bugs, lady beetles, stink bugs, cluster flies.
They're warming up, and they're looking for a way into the walls and attic to spend the winter.
If a few make it inside, vacuuming them up works better than squishing them. Sealing up the outside is what keeps the rest out.

A mouse can get through a gap about the width of a pencil, and the bottom of a garage door is an easy one to miss. We use Rodexit door sweeps to close it.

A mouse only needs a gap about the size of a dime, and the bottom corners of a garage door are one of the most common ways in this time of year. We seal those with Rodexit, a rodent-resistant door sweep they can't chew through like regular rubber.

Noticed brown, shield-shaped bugs hanging out on the sunny side of your house? 🪲 Those are most likely brown marmorated stink bugs, and October is when they gather on warm walls looking for a way inside for the winter.

What helps:
• Don't squish them indoors (you'll find out fast why they're called stink bugs)
• Vacuum them up and empty or toss the bag right away
• Check window screens, gaps around window AC units, and where siding meets trim
• Seal small cracks on south- and west-facing walls before it gets colder

They don't bite and they won't damage your house, but they're a real nuisance when dozens show up on the curtains. Already on our quarterly plan? Mention it to your technician at your next visit. Not a customer? Message us and a technician can look at where they're getting in.

West Windsor homeowner called us about noises in the attic and droppings he thought were from mice. 🐭

Turned out it was bats. 🦇

We found four entry points: a torn garage vent screen, a gap letting in daylight, a vent someone covered with taped plywood, and a front vent with an open gap at the top.

2 months of noises in the attic… our drone found out why 😳🦝

This West Windsor, NJ homeowner kept hearing scratching overhead. We sent up the drone to inspect the roofline and found a raccoon-sized hole at the back of the house. Inside the attic: a full raccoon latrine.
