Just finished up this fun little outdoor project in Collingswood. The customer had a dusty old detached garage that was just being used to store random stuff leftover from the previous owner. The goal was to transform the space by adding electric for lighting, outlets, and a motion sensing flood light, and to make the space more usable for storage by adding some plywood walls, cabinets, and a work bench. We also replaced the existing 1x rafter ties with 2x6’s so the ceiling could be used for further storage, and installed a garage door opener with keypad and remotes. Trenched from the house to the garage and installed a 30a sub panel for lighting and outlets. The customer was very happy with the result, and now has a convenient, well-lit, clean, user-friendly storage/work area! Customer had some rotting porch posts along with railings and balusters. The railings were attached to the original siding that’s behind the vinyl siding. Cut squares into the siding to cover the existing holes and installed 1” Azek blocks for the new vinyl rails to mount to. Propped up the roof and installed 2 new decorative PVC columns to keep with the existing farmhouse style. I love the challenge of retrofitting. Turned out great and the customer was very happy with the result!

One of my recent jobs. The customer had an issue with his kitchen/2nd FL bathroom plumbing even though he had a newer house. He said he would have to have his drain line snaked about every 8 months (CRAZY!). When draining his tub, it would back up into the kitchen sink. After inspecting his garbage disposal/tub drain drain line, it was evident what the problem was. The drain line was 2" short of the minimum drop for his 20' line, on top of the fact that it had 0 pipe hangers on the entire run... Where they did put blocks to support it, they just made the pipe run uphill and cause blockages... The pipe had about a 90% blockage in a couple spots. I cut out the existing 3" wye that connected to the drain line, and was able to get more than 2" of drop for better draining, especially given that the pipe will have discharge from the garbage disposal. Replaced 20' of drain line and everything is finally draining correctly. They've had this issue for 5 YEARS ever since they moved in... My customer was looking for something to add a little more detail to their master bedroom. I installed faux beams to match the same style they already had for their coffered ceiling in the foyer. Started out by installing framing and then assembled and hung the beams, installed crown molding, caulked everything. And hung the chandelier. Replaced the ugly outdated surface mounted lights with recessed and added (2) more lights for good measure. Got rid of the retro paneling and skim coated away the old mustard colored stucco

Manayunk, PA Garage man cave is mostly finished! This was a really fun project to see through from start to finish! Customer is very happy and now has an outdoor bar/hangout area to entertain guests! Shoutout to Manayunk Timber for the yellow pine ceiling joist that really just gave this that extra bit of character that it needed!
