This is from a service call this morning. Customer says the unit works well in the morning but in the afternoon it becomes warm and the unit can’t keep up. A blocked/dirty air filter will cause a reduce in airflow and reduced capacity. Do yourself a favor before calling a tech and check your air filter.

The 2nd photo is of a dirty condenser coil from a few weeks ago and it will also cause the same issue. Rinsing you’re condenser with water from your hose will help remove the dirt and allow airflow through the coil.

When you go cheap this is what you get, a company was way lower in price than I was and they replaced the wrong unit. The unit to replace was 3 times larger than this unit and right next to it. The real issue is that the installing company punctured a brand new coil with screws that were too long and walked away from the unit knowing they had done it.
Unfortunately the customer is going to have to pay for me to fix this unit and the unit that needed replacement is still sitting here needing replacement.

If it seems like too good of a deal, it usually is.

It’s that time of year that HVAC companies are doing a bunch of service calls for no AC. Do not let any company just sell you a new system. Get a 2nd and 3rd opinion. My buddy’s dad was told he needed a new unit and luckily his son called me for a 2nd opinion and I found the condensate drain clogged and slightly low on charge and the unit was okay to use after I was done. I saved him thousands of dollars that he didn’t need to spend. There are lots of scumbags out there, so beware and get multiple opinions before you commit to a replacement. Make sure you share this and help one of your friends or family from being taken advantage of.

This was our complex network of refrigerant lines for 6 large split systems with 2 stages of cooling at the Forever 21 on Chestnut St.
Although 80% of our work is hidden we are proud of our attention to detail on every inch of piping work.

CPI panel built by others installed by EC Controls for Longhorn Steakhouse Mays Landing NJ.

EC Controls finished another quality project with the Longhorn Steak House located in Mays Landing NJ.
We did not build the control panel but rather every other aspect of the controls install and start up of the roof top equipment.
