The Wood Shed

The Wood Shed Handcrafted Hardwood Furniture Building contemporary, concealment, and custom furniture with an emphasis on using timber from the forests of northern Wisconsin.

All of our furniture is 100% wood. There is no particle board, MDF, vinyl, or laminate used on our one-of-a-kind, heirloom-quality pieces. I have added turned bowls and ornaments now that I'm retired. The most common hardwoods we use are Oak, Hickory, Cherry, Ash, and Curly Maple. We also use Bird's-Eye Maple and Black Walnut, when available. The softer woods we will typically use are Soft Maple,

White or Yellow Birch, and Butternut (when available). I also specialize in furniture restoration. I enjoy the challenge of taking that old, worn out hand-me-down furniture and turning it back into a beautiful heirloom piece. Custom requests are welcome.

Come and see my latest creations! I’ll have a variety of designer bowls available in large and small sizes, jewelry trays, lazy Susan’s, covered tortilla bowls, covered trinket bowls, cheese slicers, cutting boards, chip & dip trays… so many great gifts for the Moms in our life!
