What an honor to receive the J. B. Hopkins Service Award at the Home Builders Association 75th Anniversary. Mr. Hopkins commitment to community service was legendary, and to have his name on a plaque with mine is very humbling. Thankful to be a part of our local HBA and very thankful I was able to share this moment with my daughter and ‘other son’. Blessed!

This past March, after 25 years of outstanding service to the HBA, David Peaden resigned to become the External Affairs Director (Escambia and Santa County) for Florida Power & Light (FPL). “We want to show our appreciation for the work David did for HBA and our community in a way that will forever preserve his legacy, from August 23 on, everyone who visits the HBA office will see a tangible tribute to the incredible impact he made.”, said HBA Past President Alton Lister, Lister Builders. Yesterday the formal dedication was made naming the David W. Peaden Boardroom at the the HBA office in Pensacola.
