Midwest Food Bank, PJ Hoerr, and many community members celebrated the groundbreaking of its new headquarters facility in Morton, marking an exciting step forward for the organization!

The 20,000 sq ft additional will improve operational efficiency, provide dedicated space for volunteers and team members, and expand warehouse capacity to support Midwest Food Bank's growing efforts in disaster relief across the country.

We're looking forward to seeing this project take shape!

It’s incredible to watch this vision come to life! We are extremely grateful for the amazing teams at PJ Hoerr and Ratio Architects for their partnership, expertise, attention to detail, and commitment to exceeding our district’s expectations throughout this project.

Every step of the way, these teams have worked alongside Dunlap Community Unit School District #323 to create a learning environment that will serve our students, staff, families, and community for generations to come.

A few of our staff members out of our Bloomington office spent their Saturday filling meal boxes for the "Million Meal Pack" event hosted by Illinois State University. The initiative is centered around packing 1,000,000 meals in a single day to fight against food insecurity across the United States.

This year, 5,000 volunteers participated in the event. Packing 1,002, 402 meals to send around the country. James and Jeff's volunteer group packed over 250,000 meals in less than 90 minutes. We're grateful for this organization and the service they provide for those in need.

Plus, these two can really rock a hair net!

Yesterday, we broke ground at the new CEFCU headquarters addition! We heard from the CEFCU board and CEO/President about the impact this new facility will make on CEFCU members and the Peoria community. We're excited to start working on this project and see this facility come to life!

Project complete! Sarah Raymond School for Early Education wrapped up just before the 2026-2027 school year began. This space offers a vibrant, interactive, learning environment for ages 3-5 years old. The new facility provides additional classroom and play space, increased storage, and modern features to support the school's growing enrollment.

This project is the second renovation to take place in the State Farm Oakland Avenue office building purchased by Bloomington’s District 87 in 2024. The facility also houses the Bloomington Career Academy.
