Sand float texture with some blending. Of course I circled back and touched up a few spots but the customer is extremely happy he saved $5,000 from other plaster companies to re-texture the entire ceiling and life is good!

While preparing this ceiling for new plaster after water damage I had to move plumbing up and install brackets to hold it in place. As soon as I touched the active plumbing it started leaking. Plan is to replace with pex tomorrow before installing the new plaster board. Not planned but definitely the best option with the age and condition of the copper lines. While investigating the leak I noticed the copper was kinked and had a dent where the leak was. This will be done correctly so the ceiling won’t be destroyed by water again. At least not for at least 20 years.

Don’t you hate when you finish a project and it looks amazing and you forget to take pictures? 😢 it’s a problem! I actually ask customers to take pictures sometimes after I leave their houses! 😂 ugh… I’m just in a hurry to get home to my beautiful wife after a long day! More important than pictures at 8:15pm at night! It happens at nearly every job! Maybe I’m getting old or something! PLASTER IS KING!

It’s always my goal to provide the most value to my customers! I was hired by a contractor who is familiar with my work. This is the 3rd time he has reached out. Every other estimate was well over $5,000 to texture the entire wall. I did it for almost half that because I can match and blend! Success feels good but I still have my doubts due to the pressure of perfection I put on myself. It comes down to just doing what I can! AND proving those other plaster contractors wrong on nearly every repair job!

Project #2 of 3 im trying to wrap this one up today.
I have just a touch of wet sanding to do and then it’s ready to prime. I prefer to prime all of my patch work because it shows any unevenness and any missed edges so much better. Nobody will ever know this was patched once it’s complete.
