Sometimes all a landscape needs is a fresh start.
This lakeshore property had great bones—it just needed more color, texture, and seasonal interest.
We refreshed the existing landscape with a new mix of perennials, ornamental grasses, and shrubs that complement the home while providing blooms from spring through fall. The natural boulder edging ties everything together and gives the gardens a clean, finished look without feeling overdone.
I love projects like this because they prove you don’t always need a complete redesign to make a big impact. Sometimes the right plants in the right places can completely change how a property feels.
Looking forward to watching these gardens mature over the next few seasons! 🌸🌿

This is only year one... stay tuned for the transformation.🌿🐝 This hillside had become too steep to mow and was slowly being taken over by weeds. Instead of fighting it every season, we transformed it into a native planting that will become lower maintenance, reduce runoff, support pollinators, and add season-long color.
The best part? This is just year one. Give it a few seasons, and this hillside will completely come to life.

Ice heaves are no joke.
Every spring, shifting ice can move rock, wash out shorelines, and leave properties vulnerable to erosion.
We teamed up with RockWater Irrigation & Landscape to rebuild the rip rap, restore the shoreline, and repair the beach before the damage became worse.

One of our core values at EL Outdoors is community.

As a local business, we believe success isn't just measured by the work we do—it's also measured by the impact we make in the communities that we live in.

Earlier this week, I reached out to the Pequot Lakes Chamber looking for an opportunity to recognize someone who makes a difference in our community. After hearing Pam's story and learning about all she does for others, there was no question she was deserving.

Today was a great reminder that some of the most important people in our communities are the ones working quietly behind the scenes, helping others without expecting anything in return.

Congratulations, Pam, and thank you for making our community a better place. 🌸
