We recently completed a full surface restoration at the Heinz Fremont Production Facility in Fremont, Ohio!

Our team tackled the ceiling, walls, and floors throughout the space, prepping and painting the ceiling, coating wet-area walls with two coats of Tnemec Series 104 epoxy, and applying a solid-color Tnemec urethane floor coating built to hold up in an active industrial facility.

We're proud to have recently completed a new luxury vinyl tile (LVT) flooring installation at Woodland Elementary School in Perrysburg, Ohio!

Our team removed the existing flooring, carefully prepared the space, and installed over 2,000 square feet of durable, low-maintenance LVT designed to withstand the demands of a busy educational environment. Featuring a custom border layout, the finished space provides a clean, modern look for students and staff to enjoy for years to come.

Meet Kalli Moreno, a Carpenter Apprentice who had been a part of Lakeside for 3 years. She started in the construction industry through her family as well as a vocational school. Kalli describes her work with Lakeside as collaborative, educational, and interesting.

In her spotlight she shares what she likes the most about working for Lakeside, advice she would give her younger self, and something she wants to learn that is at the top of her bucket list.

Lathrop Project Spotlight: Toledo Lucas County Public Library: Mott

Lathrop is proud to have provided construction management services for the Toledo Lucas County Public Library's Mott, a modern 18,000-square-foot library that opened in 2019 and serves the Roosevelt and Onyx neighborhoods of Toledo. Designed by Bostwick Design Partnership (design architect) and Buehrer Group Architecture & Engineering, Inc. (architect of record and engineer), the facility was built adjacent to Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary School and created as a welcoming community hub for learning, collaboration, and connection.

The project features a striking glass curtain wall and canopy system that fills the interior with natural light, a complex geometric patterned Rulon ceiling system, a raised access floor system, and an open-concept layout designed to support evolving community needs. Extensive site improvements helped create an inviting environment that connects the library with the surrounding neighborhood. More than just a building, Mott was envisioned as an anchor for the community, providing flexible spaces for education, technology, creativity, and engagement. The facility replaced the previous branch library and expanded resources available to residents, reinforcing the library's mission as a center for opportunity and growth.

We're honored to have helped bring this inspiring public space to life and support the Toledo community for generations to come.

Meet Seth Koralewski, our Warehouse Manager who has been a part of Lakeside for 14 years. He started in the construction industry at Penta where he went for carpentry. Seth is known for being dedicated, hardworking, and adaptable.

In his spotlight he also shares what he values most about working at Lakeside, his advice for the next generation entering the trades, what makes Lakeside's culture unique, and the one trip at the top of his bucket list.

Kim Hoover has been Lakeside's Payroll/HR Specialist for 9 years. She can't imagine being anywhere else and says this is by far the best company she's ever worked for!

Kim's favorite part of the job: The family and fun atmosphere where everyone supports each other, no matter what.

Her advice to the next generation: "Go for it! College isn't for everyone and we need people in the trades just as much as other areas."

Outside of work, Kim has a wonderful husband who spoils her (especially with his cooking!), two beautiful daughters, a son-in-law and future son-in-law, and is about to become a GRANDMA in September! She loves to read, spend time outdoors, and recently started making chunky blankets.
