This trailer was purchased new in the 1970's by a customer of ours, which has been in the family for 4 generations. We were contacted to media blast the whole trailer. I let them know that we would be able to spray primer and paint in addition to media blasting if desired. They were exited about having us do the whole project.
To start the project we media blasted every part of the trailer including the wheels. Once the trailer was down to bare metal we prepped it and sprayed primer. The customer requested the inside of the trailer be painted grey, outside red and the top white. Thats exactly what we did! We prepped the primer and painted the interior grey. Taped and sealed the interior to prevent red over spray and then painted the exterior red. After the red paint was applied we taped the red off and painted the top white along with the wheels.
To finish the project off we ran a new wiring harness, side marker lights front and back on both sides, tail lights, 7 pin plug, added a trailer breakaway kit, applied reflective tape around the bottom of the trailer, and lastly installed new safety chains and hooks.
The project turned out great and the customer was satisfied with the end result. The trailer is now ready to serve another 4 generations in their family!
