💦 Close Your Eyes and Just Listen... 💦

There is nothing quite like the gentle, relaxing sound of water moving over stone to wash away a stressful day. If you want the peaceful ambiance of a water feature without the footprint or maintenance of a full pond, a custom bubbling rock is the absolute perfect addition to your yard.

We use beautifully textured, natural stones to create a focal point that blends seamlessly into your garden. The water recirculates cleanly beneath the gravel basin, giving you that rich, trickling soundtrack all season long—plus, local birds absolutely love them!

Ready to level up the relaxation in your outdoor space? Let’s add a stunning water feature to your landscape design.

Ever notice how the smallest details make the biggest difference? 🛠️

A paver patio or walkway is truly defined by its border. Think of it as the frame on a piece of artwork—it adds depth, contrast, and dimension to a standard setting.

Here’s why we always recommend a border for your hardscape projects:

✨ Instant Contrast: It visually breaks up the main pattern and draws the eye.

📐 Crisp Definition: It cleanly separates your patio from lawns, garden beds, or stone features.

💰 High Value, Low Cost: It's one of the most budget-friendly upgrades you can make, but it completely changes the look and feel of the entire space.

We love installing these, but we want to know what you think!

What is your preference? Do you like a clean, matching border, or a bold contrast color that pops? Let us know in the comments! 👇

What does construction look like? At first a bit messy but few days later you have an awesome product.

Side note, new landscape recently? Watering the next couple days going to be critically important. Get out this weekend with hose!

100%!!!!

With summer temperatures climbing, newly planted trees, shrubs, and flowers need a little extra attention to stay healthy.

Watch for heat stress: Wilting, curling, yellowing, or scorched leaves are signs your plants may be struggling.

Water wisely: Check the soil daily. If it's dry several inches down, give your plants a deep soak in the early morning or evening when temperatures are cooler.

Mulch is your best friend: A 2–3 inch layer of mulch helps keep roots cool, conserves moisture, and reduces evaporation.

Provide temporary shade: Sensitive new plantings can benefit from shade cloth or a patio umbrella during the hottest afternoon hours.

Skip the fertilizer: During extreme heat, plants are focused on survival—not growth. Fertilizing can add unnecessary stress.

A little extra care during a heatwave can make all the difference. Keep those roots cool, stay consistent with watering.

🏔️ May in the Springs: Is Your Landscape Thirsty?

☀️ The sun is out, and while we’ve had some recent moisture, the "abnormally dry" winter has left our soil parched.

If you haven't turned your irrigation on yet, now is the time. At Summit View Landscapes, we want your outdoor space to thrive, not just survive. Here is why you need to get that water moving:

🌳 Don't Forget the Trees & Shrubs!
Your lawn isn't the only thing that's thirsty. After a dry winter, trees and shrubs are working hard to push out new growth.

Deep Root Hydration: Established trees need a deep soak to prevent root stress and die-back.

Evergreen Care: Our Colorado pines and spruces lose moisture through their needles all year—they need a big drink to stay vibrant!

New Plantings: If we installed plants for you last season, they are especially vulnerable right now and need consistent water to finish establishing their roots.

💡 Pro-Tip: Check your mulch beds! A fresh layer of mulch helps retain that precious moisture and keeps root temperatures stable as we head into the heat of summer.

Your yard is thirsty and hungry! Fertilize followed with deep watering!

Please Note: Summit View Landscapes specializes in design and installation; we do not offer irrigation activation. We recommend calling your favorite sprinkler tech ASAP, as May is their busiest month!

# # 🏗️ Built to Brave the Rockies! 🏔️
Progress is looking incredible on our latest project! In Colorado, a patio is only as good as what’s underneath it. That’s why we don't just "lay pavers"—we engineer outdoor spaces to last a lifetime.

**Why this patio is Colorado-proof:**

* **12-Inch Minimum Base:** While others cut corners, we dig deep to ensure a rock-solid foundation.

* **Open Grade Design:** Specialized drainage to keep water moving where it should.

* **Geotextile Reinforcement:** High-strength fabric to keep the layers stable and prevent sinking.

* **Belgard Pavers & Polysand:** Premium aesthetics finished with high-performance sand for a locked-in fit.

From **heavy clay heave** to our brutal **freeze-thaw cycles**, this patio is built to handle everything Colorado tosses at it. No shifting, no cracking—just perfection. ☀️❄️

**📍 Serving Colorado Springs, Falcon, Black Forest, Monumen]**

Moving mountains (or at least really heavy trees) 🌲⛰️

Planting a mature tree is tough enough, but adding steep hills and beautiful stone walls into the mix requires serious precision.

In this behind-the-scenes look, our crew is using our high-access mini skid steers to carefully maneuver a heavy tree up the slope. One machine manages the staging from the driveway, while the other does the heavy lifting on the hill. It’s all about working smarter and protecting your property while delivering top-tier results.
