BC LANDSCAPE and Yards. 30yr veteran with many yrs in Construction, landscape projects and Yard Maintenance. I own and operate my business with 3 basic rules. I look at each project as if it were my yard. I love working outdoors. My first thoughts what would I pay for this project.
Yard maintenance I edge, cut grass that will look great but also cut it to the right height for the type of lawn you have. I use my mower with a bag to vacuum up grass residue off your sidewalk and driveway before I blow the minimal residue. Additionally trim hedges, prune shrubs, last I PULL WEEDS. I do step estimating if you have a larger project I break my estimate into specific steps. Each step will include a price. If you decide to space a project out over time I won't change pricing.

It wasn't the slow winter I thought it was going to be thankfully.
Several landscape projects in the works and cutting season getting busy.
Please consider safer ways to manage your lawns. Folks around my age all grew up to round up and w**d n feed commercials. Many great substitutes for all that you don't want in your lawns or gardens.
Horicutural vinegar not grocery store product, will spot treat w**ds in your gardens or anywhere else not in the lawn. Orange oil safe w**d management tools same as the vinegar.
A good number of non herbicidal applications for lawn w**ds (preemergent) are available at local nurseries. Organic based fertilizers also.
I hope everyone has a great spring season. Here in central Texas we are rocking away with vegetables gardens, flower shrub beds, and our lawns are coming back strong.

A little about me- retired Army but not close to sitting back and watching grass grow ( if it rains).
2012 was the year I got deep into landscaping and yard maintenance. Got fed up with watching cut and blow crews who work production cutting. Mowers are set and locked at number 2 setting so grass is cut at 1 1/2 inches or in some cases at soil level. I call these guys go and blow teams. Our central Texas area for Bermuda or St Augustine should be cut at 3 inches minimum. Our summers and water restrictions needs height and dense roots to minimize w**d growth and help retain moisture.
Landscaped areas need healthy soil, adapted or native plants that meet the light requirements for that area.
You don't plant Crape Myrtles, roses, or other sun hungry plants where you only get maybe 4 hrs of sun and expect that plant to bloom and show it's stuff. Yet drive around any new homes and you'll see everything that's wrong with production landscaping.
My approach is match the area to how much water, sun, and condition of the soil. YOUR YARD NEEDS COLOR! It needs authentic anchor plants, shrubs or something that says WOW.
