Good Morning Neat Freaks!
It was so nice to hear this shoutout from Kim 🖤
Kim reached out to me when Philly Neat Freaks was still a pretty new business, and now she graciously calls me one of her mentors. That means a whole lot.
One of the things she mentioned was something I call my “protective bubble.”
Before I walk into a client’s home, I intentionally put myself into a mindset where I can be fully present, deeply empathetic, and completely focused on helping them…without taking on the emotional weight of everything they’re carrying.
A fair amount of this work is emotional. We’re invited into some really vulnerable moments, and I’ve found this practice to be incredibly important—not just for me, but for my team too.
When the session is over, I can leave the heaviness behind, head home, and be present in my own life.
We all have soooo much to learn from each other, don’t we?
