MY FIRST GALLERY WALL 🥲🫶🏼 So grateful for the opportunity to paint these pups, and for their owner who was such a pleasure to collaborate with - these were a labor of love! We used some of my favorite frames in my stock and settled on a beautiful, deep Benjamin Moore paint (Kensington Blue). I cannot WAIT to see them all hanging together in their new home! I posted on stories the other day about an ornament that was taking me daysss to finish because it has 40+ images on it — and not a fuzzy face or flower in sight! Well here’s a sneak peak 👀 I had the wild idea to paint an ornament with all the iconic things in Philadelphia 🥨⚾️🥊. I was not planning on painting so many small things, but this is what it snowballed into, and I love the chaos of it. Only showing this sliver as there’s A LOT all over and still more to do…but I’m so excited by how it’s turning out and I can’t wait to share more!

This is for my Christmas tree🎄 , but I’ve been having so much fun that I’m thinking of doing more “themed” ornaments like this to sell.

Help me think of some theme ideas! Any suggestions in the comments are welcome and appreciated. 🫶🏼💕

Today’s medium. Swipe for various mediums from the past.

As an artist, I felt a lot of shame for a number of years when it came to settling on a niche — I could never make up my mind. The moment I fell in love and found a groove with one medium, another came along that sparked my curiosity and pulled me in a different direction. I am currently having another one of those moments 😂 so I’m asking you to bear with me. Specifically the new followers that are here for the pet portraits (don’t worry — those aren’t going anywhere!!). Sometimes I need to switch things up to keep my brain engaged.😊

I keep a list of art ideas on my phone, and this is one I’ve come back to a few times but ultimately ignored due to the medium. I’ve only embroidered something once before in art school. While I loved it, it was also a steep learning curve. My idea for these materials feels a little different and strange, and I’m not sure if I’m making it for the intention of selling or for the sake of making, but I’m feeling driven to make it nonetheless.

Again, don’t worry cat and dog people; they will always be around. And if you’ve read this far, thanks for sticking around while I get distracted by shiny objects 😂🫶🏼
