Another project coming along 👏🏼
This addition is about more than adding square footage, it’s about creating a home that better supports how this family lives today.

This 1957 split-level rancher is gaining a true primary suite with a four-piece bathroom, bedroom, nursery, and walk-in closet, plus a private home office with its own entrance and a new powder room.

Right now, we’re focused on building the shell while continuing to think through every detail. Even something as simple as the powder room door is carefully planned on paper first to make sure it works beautifully within the space, because solving these details during design is far better than making costly changes later.

Waiting on the countertop and a few finishing details, but this powder room is already coming together beautifully.
Warm wood tones, reeded cabinetry, softly rounded edges, terracotta-inspired tile, and vintage-style sconces give this small space so much character. Every material and detail was selected to work together, from the curves of the vanity and mirror to the shape of the lighting.

A behind-the-scenes look at one of our current projects, where we’re addressing old water damage and restoring these areas to protect the home from future issues.

This work includes repairing damaged SIPs walls, structural insulated panels that provide support, insulation, and energy efficiency. Along with correcting the threshold and Juliet balcony details and replacing the garage door.

Each of these elements plays an important role in keeping water out, protecting the structure, and ensuring the home performs as beautifully as it looks.

And on a gorgeous day like this, we’re taking a moment to appreciate the sunshine while the work moves forward.

Behind the Build: Part 2 🛠️

This was such a special project to be part of. Working alongside The Philadelphia Historical Commission, our goal was to bring more natural light into the space while preserving the character and integrity of the home.

We added new windows and a discrete gorgeous bank of skylights that completely transformed the room, filling it with beautiful natural light. Every detail was approached with care, especially knowing this home is part of the historic Fairmount neighborhood.

The huge skylight openings and adding windows to the walls, all these large penetrations required extra engineering to make the addition sturdy.

One of the most important parts of working with the Philadelphia Historic Commission is making sure the updates are thoughtfully designed to be historically correct and that anything not historically accurate is invisible from the street. We worked meticulously to ensure every window and detail met the necessary requirements while creating a bright, beautiful space for our clients.

We’re so happy with the final result and even happier to help bring our clients’ vision to life.
