A different kind of view.👏🏼

One of the questions we hear all the time is: “Do we move, or do we add onto the home we already love?”

As families grow, kids get older, parents age, work moves home, and everyday needs change, the house that once worked perfectly may not work quite the same anymore.

Sometimes, the answer isn’t starting over somewhere new. It’s rethinking the home you already have.

This addition is taking shape from the ground up, creating more space designed around how this family lives today, and how they’ll live for years to come.

It’s often the decisions you’ll never see that make the biggest difference.

On this project, one option was to install a roof drain where several roof sections come together. While that can be a perfectly normal solution, we saw an opportunity to make it even better for this home.

Instead, we adjusted the roof design so water naturally flows toward the outside of the house, reducing the risk of a future clog from leaves or ice. It was an added investment, but a smarter long-term solution.

That’s thoughtful construction: looking beyond what works today and thinking about what will work best for years to come.
