Posted • A few more shots from the 1915 designed home in that I’m getting close to wrapping up with this home features 6 bedrooms and 3-1/2 baths and is nestled on a three acre lot in Rose Valley, PA, an intentional community founded upon the principles of the movement at the turn of the 20th century. The home is resplendent with white oak flooring and original chestnut trim throughout. Started as a retreat for wealthy city dwellers at the end of the , Rose Valley fell on hard times and by the 70’s, had become a haven for hippies and counterculture types. This house was last remodeled some time in the late 80’s/early 90’s and was in dire need of attention. We redid the kitchen, main suite and most of the 2nd floor bedrooms and baths, repainting and refurbishing the stained woodwork throughout for a young family of four.

Putting on the finishing touches on this estate designed by architect in historic , PA. When began this project, is was more than a little worse for wear, having withstood years of neglect and delayed upkeep. We refurbished all of the original trim with the help of and what couldn’t be salvaged, we replaced with custom milled trim in , to match. Shown here are the living room, with custom corbeled beam cladding, dining room, with renewed panel wainscoting and new builtins from and the kitchen, which got reconfigured, with new cabinets from and a braided picket tile backsplash. New project underway with for a family in , on a 1.25 acre property that gives off some serious vibes. This includes a new kitchen and improved spaces in the master suite, dining room, baths and more in this 4572 sf, 5 bedroom, 3-1/3 bath home. All of the existing woodwork will be preserved and reused, as well as much of the extant tile throughout the 100 year-old house in , PA. This will be an exciting project, stay tuned for updates and details!

It doesn’t happen nearly as often as I’d like, but it’s always a good day when I get to use my at work. It’s fun collaborating with . This installation is at the lobby entrance at , a project I’ve been working on with for some time. We’re getting close to wrapping it up and the homeowners are moving in!
