Another deck brought back stronger than before! 🔨 We repaired structural damage with new joists, rebuilt the bump-out, completely rebuilt the ramp with new supports, installed solid 2×6 decking, and finished it off with a clean cable-rail system.

Always a pleasure working for a repeat customer—and the whole job was thoroughly inspected and approved by our furry little supervisor! 🐾

A little before & after from one of our recent exterior restoration projects in Center City.

We brought these original details back to life with careful prep, repairs, and fresh paint while keeping the historic character of the property intact.

Windows, trim, exterior paint, restoration work — we do it all.

We know we haven’t been posting a whole lot lately… but that’s because we’ve been too busy with a brush in our hands. 🎨

From detailed historic interiors to exterior windows, trim, shutters and everything in between, the Johnny Gees crew has been putting in the work.

I don’t usually make tutorials, but this one was worth sharing. 🔧🚰

Ran into an issue with an extra-thick countertop where standard faucet mounting hardware just wasn’t going to cut it.

Instead of forcing it or telling the customer they needed a different faucet, we figured out a clean way to make it work. In this Reel I walk through how we handled the thick countertop, modified the setup, and got the new faucets installed properly.

Sometimes contracting isn’t about replacing everything—it’s about knowing how to solve the problem in front of you.

“Finished up this crazy little corner toilet today 😂🚽 I actually roughed this bathroom in months ago—including the plumbing for the vanity and a washer/dryer hookup for the second floor. Nice seeing everything come together from rough-in to finished product. ”

Second Street. Built to Last. 🐅

There’s tile… and then there’s tile done right.

This kitchen received a complete floor replacement from demolition to the final grout joint. Every tile was carefully laid for a clean, balanced layout, but the detail that ties the entire project together is the custom-matched threshold. Instead of using an off-the-shelf transition, we matched the look and feel of the new floor to create a seamless finish that belongs in the home.

No shortcuts. No “good enough.”

Just solid craftsmanship, sharp details, and a floor that’s built to handle decades of use while looking like it was always meant to be there.
