I don’t usually make tutorials, but this one was worth sharing. 🔧🚰

Ran into an issue with an extra-thick countertop where standard faucet mounting hardware just wasn’t going to cut it.

Instead of forcing it or telling the customer they needed a different faucet, we figured out a clean way to make it work. In this Reel I walk through how we handled the thick countertop, modified the setup, and got the new faucets installed properly.

Sometimes contracting isn’t about replacing everything—it’s about knowing how to solve the problem in front of you.

This kitchen received a complete floor replacement from demolition to the final grout joint. Every tile was carefully laid for a clean, balanced layout, but the detail that ties the entire project together is the custom-matched threshold. Instead of using an off-the-shelf transition, we matched the look and feel of the new floor to create a seamless finish that belongs in the home.

A full restoration process on these historic Locust Street shutters—not just a quick coat of paint.

Each shutter was carefully removed, stripped, cleaned, sanded, repaired where needed, conditioned, stained, and protected with a durable clear finish. Years of buildup and weathering had to be worked through to bring the original wood grain and character back to life.

These are the kinds of details that make historic Philadelphia properties special, and they deserve to be restored the right way.

A little restoration work can completely change the look of a building.

This project started with deteriorated window trim, failing glazing, peeling paint, and years of weather taking their toll. We’re bringing these historic windows back to life the right way—repairing what can be saved instead of replacing the character that makes these old Philadelphia buildings special.

Working three stories up on ladders in the middle of Center City isn’t the easiest job, but preserving craftsmanship never is.

It’s always satisfying watching a 100+ year-old building get the attention it deserves.

Northern Liberties throwback in the making. 🔥

Retrofitting this kitchen floor with original quarry tile… and let me tell you, these darn quarry tiles are making my OCD go absolutely bananas. 😂 Every tile is just a hair different in size, so keeping the grout lines looking clean takes a whole lot more patience than you’d think.

Sometimes the older homes are the ones that fight you the hardest, but matching the original character is always worth it. Slow and steady, one tile at a time.

Another exterior restoration underway.

This home had sections of soffit that had deteriorated from years of weather exposure, allowing moisture to get where it shouldn’t. We removed all of the damaged material, inspected the framing, and installed brand-new soffit to restore both the appearance and the integrity of the roof overhang.
